2019 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L)

We sourced our 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon grapes from a small independent grower located on the valley floor in the Calistoga AVA toward the northern reaches of Napa Valley. Here, 20 miles from the cooling influence of San Pablo Bay, daytime temperatures average 5-7 degrees warmer than in the Valley’s southern end contributing to accelerated ripening and crowd pleasing plush flavor profiles.

We are currently SOLD OUT of our 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon. Our 2020 vintage will be released later this year. Please allocate your bottles!

Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
The wine has a Garnet crimson color on the edge of the glass and aromas of graphite, violets and leather. The palate is driven by a core of robust sweet red fruit, complemented with secondary notes of warm baking spice and a hint of cacao with featherweight tannins and long soft finish. This wine is approachable now but promises to perform through 2030, for those who wish to put some away.
Winemaker Notes
The 2019 summer growing season was marked by warm even daytime temperatures with few extreme heat spikes. We picked our grapes on the morning of October 19, just before the first cold front of Autumn. The wine was treated to a 19 month elevage of French oak (75% new). The 2019 vintage consist of 92% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Petit Verdot and 2% Caberent Franc.
